The Workshop Manager shall be responsible for the management, maintenance, utilization, and operational readiness of construction equipment, machinery, workshops, and related resources required for project implementation.

Key Deliverables

  • Plan, direct, and oversee workshop and equipment maintenance activities.
  • Ensure availability and operational efficiency of construction equipment.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules and monitor implementation.
  • Manage equipment inspections, repairs, servicing, and replacement programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment utilization, maintenance, and costs.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements relating to machinery and workshop operations.
  • Coordinate procurement of spare parts and maintenance resources.
  • Supervise workshop personnel and equipment operators.
  • Prepare periodic equipment performance and maintenance reports.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering, Equipment Management, or related field.
  • Professional certification in plant or equipment management is an added advantage.
  • Must have served as a Workshop Manager, Plant Manager, or Equipment Manager in at least one airport construction project within the last ten (10) years.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in management of heavy construction equipment and workshop operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with maintenance planning, fleet management, and equipment utilization monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of construction plant operations, maintenance systems, and occupational safety requirements.
