- Monitor and track stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment and preventing shortages or overstock situations.
- Perform regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with inventory records.
- Implement stock rotation procedures like First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) to manage stock freshness.
- Document inventory movements, adjustments, and transfers in the relevant inventory management systems.
- Oversee the receipt of goods, including checking for discrepancies and damage.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate manual or powered equipment.
- Prepare shipping documents, packing slips, and labels for outgoing shipments.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, orderly, and organized to optimize space and accessibility.
- Implement and maintain security procedures to control access to the warehouse.
- Monitor and report on the condition of the warehouse building and equipment.
- Implement pest control and monitor temperature to prevent spoilage and damage to stored goods.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely inventory and activity reports to supervisors and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with procurement and other departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Advise management on potential issues, such as inventory shortages or warehouse improvements.
