To strengthen the team's capacity in managing legal disputes involving the bank, ensuring efficient handling of cases where it intervenes as plaintiff, defendant, third party garnishee or intervening party (forced or voluntary).

Key Deliverables

 Participate in defining and implementing the defense strategy, in collaboration with the Head of Litigation and the Head of the Litigation Department * Contribute to the assessment of potential legal costs and reputational risks, and propose appropriate mitigation measures for each litigation case * Supervise the establishment of provisions in the event of a proven risk of the bank being found liable * Evaluate the chances of success of litigation based on in-depth legal analyses and internal notes * Collaborate closely with the various entities of the bank in the proactive management of legal risk * Ensure compliance with internal litigation management procedures and analyze them. Identifi trends to identify areas for improvement. Produce regular and structured reports on case progress, court decisions and associated costs. Ensure the rigorous closure and archiving of files in accordance with internal standards. Proactively communicate the progress of cases to the Head of Litigation, and formulate strategic recommendations. Ensure compliance with internal procedures and the bank's document management policy. Contribute to legal due diligence in the context of evaluating potential partners. Carry out any other task assigned by management or the Legal Director, in line with the department's priorities.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities

: Hold a Master's degree (Bac +5) in Law:

Demonstrate at least 5 years of professional experience in litigation or within a corporate legal department;

  • Demonstrate excellent legal analysis and synthesis skills, as well as a strong aptitude for negotiation and monitoring of hearings;
  • Fluency in French and a good knowledge of at least one national language are required; proficiency in English is a major asset.
