Job Description
The Secondary Market Operations Manager is responsible for the performance of Watu’s secondary asset lifecycle following asset recovery, including pricing, refurbishment (for EV assets) and sale of repossessed assets. The role drives effective stock management, pricing discipline, recovery optimization, and operational efficiency to ensure assets are converted into cash or performing loans at optimal margins. It owns Secondary Market Place (SMP) revenue performance while being accountable for associated costs, including write-offs, inventory aging, and warehouse time.
Additionally, the role ensures strong governance and control across pricing, inventory management, and asset disposal to safeguard asset value and minimize operational risk.
It is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role combining commercial execution, operational oversight, and data-driven decision-making to improve recovery outcomes and capital efficiency.

- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with ability to translate operational data into actionable commercial insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including dashboards, data modelling, and performance tracking.
- Experience working with core systems and tools (e.g., MIFOS, GPS tracking systems, inventory management platforms).
- Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management (recovery, verification, pricing, resale).
- Ability to design and enforce operational processes, SLAs, and control frameworks.
- Experience managing multi-branch operations and inventory flows.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions quickly.
