We are recruiting a Scrap Metal Worker for one of our clients who operates in the Infrastructure sector.   The scrap metal dealer's role is to participate in the construction, repair, and maintenance of metal infrastructure. They work in collaboration with a team of building professionals to guarantee the quality and durability of metal structures.

Key Deliverables

  • Prepare and cut the reinforcing bars according to the specified dimensions.
  • Assemble the metal components to form solid structures that conform to the plans.
  • Read and interpret construction plans to execute work in accordance with specifications.
  • Use construction tools and machines (shears, mallets, pliers, etc.).
  • Ensure the quality of work by respecting safety standards and construction standards.
  • Collaborating with other trades (welding, electricity, etc.) to coordinate the work.
  • Carry out repairs and renovations on existing metal structures.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized worksite to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations.
  • Respect the deadlines and budgets allocated for each project.
  • Participate in the training and mentoring of new employees.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Diploma in steelwork, metallurgy, construction or a related field (CAP, BEP, or equivalent).
  • Professional experience of at least 2 years as a scrap metal dealer or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of reinforcement techniques, metallic materials and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical diagrams.
  • Excellent manual skills and practical sense for handling tools and construction machinery.
  • Strong sense of organization and planning to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Ability to work in a team and to collaborate with other professions.
  • Sense of responsibility and strict adherence to safety standards on the construction site.
  • Ability to work outdoors and to withstand the demanding physical conditions of the job.
  • Availability to work on different construction sites depending on the project needs.
