Job Description
- We are seeking to hire a Safety Officer to support health, safety, environmental, and food safety compliance within a busy operational environment.
- He/she will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, food safety, and environmental practices within the organization’s catering operations. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with safety standards, legal requirements, and operational procedures to minimize workplace risks and incidents.

Safety Compliance & Monitoring
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct routine inspections across operational and production areas
- Monitor safe work practices within catering and kitchen operations
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
- Identify workplace hazards and unsafe practices
- Conduct risk assessments related to kitchen operations, chemicals, equipment, and manual handling
- Recommend and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
Incident Management
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Prepare incident investigation reports and recommend preventive measures
- Maintain accurate incident and corrective action records
Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety inductions for new employees and contractors
- Coordinate toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions
- Promote a positive safety culture within the organization
Emergency Preparedness
- Support implementation of emergency response procedures
- Coordinate fire safety inspections and evacuation drills
- Ensure emergency equipment remains accessible and functional
Food Safety & Hygiene Support
- Support implementation of food safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor housekeeping and sanitation standards
- Ensure compliance with contamination prevention practices
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation
- Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports
- Track closure of corrective actions and audit findings
