Key Deliverables

  • Selling and marketing of CRDB deposit and lending products and acting as an ambassador for the products both internally and externally.
  • To ensure branch deposit targets per product is met as per budget.
  • To ensure lending applications from eligible customers are timely prepared and submitted, adhering to the laid down procedures and standards, and disbursed timely upon approval.
  • To cross sell to existing customers on value added service and other related products and services.
  • To ensure timely follow up and accuracy in consolidating and reconciling deductions for posting.
  • Follow up non-repayment and loans in arrears from all CRDB lending products.
  • To initiate immediate collections or recovery measures when the borrowers show signs of underperformance, violate terms and conditions of the loan or the business experiences distress or crisis.
  • To ensure that both credit and security documents at the branch are properly executed, perfected and are kept securely and intact in respective files.
  • Carry out quarterly thorough credit control self-assessment review based on all borrowers and rectify or coordinate rectification of noted anomalies and report to BM or DC.
  • To visit each borrower’s business and respective securities at least quarterly, prepare visit memos, sign off and ensure the visit reports or memos are properly filed in respective customer loan files at the branch.
  • For new loans and or enhancement above previous approved limit, ensure that no loan appraisal or proposal is recommended to the next level without visiting the customer’s business and security.
  • Recovery of charged off credit facilities at the branch.
  • As a secretary to the Branch Credit Committee (BCC), ensure that weekly BCC meetings happen as per control process and agenda for discussion adequately covers new credits and performance of the branch loan portfolio and keep track on all deliberations on weekly basis.
  • Ensure that minutes of the BCC are well recorded with action points well allocated to role players; all minutes are signed off by both the Chairperson and Secretary and the same filed appropriately.
  • Assist or train all lending customers in records keeping and preparation of financial projections.
  • Timely handling customer complaints and servicing customer inquiries.
  • Prepare claim and submit documentation for insurance timely, in case of fire, burglary, death and permanent disability of the customer in portfolio.
  • Business awareness to be able to achieve business performance, customer service minded and operational risk awareness.
  • Team player – work together with other branch units as one team to deliver the exceptional performance of the whole branch.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Its Equivalent and at least a professional banking certificate.
  • At least 2 years’ experience with a good background of customer relationship.
  • Strategic business awareness coupled with a clear understanding of the Bank’s products, handling, and building customer relations.
  • Also, should be aware with Performance Management and Change management.
  • Self-empowerment to enable the development of open communication, teamwork, and trust that are needed to support performance and a customer service-oriented culture.
  • Communication and Presentation skills, Planning and Organizing skills, Interpersonal and Computer skills, Coaching skills, as well as Reporting and analytical skills.
