Job Description

Adamawa State College of Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Studies, the ADCOTIES, Gulak was established in 2025 by the Adamawa State Government under the able administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of:

  • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and Secretary to the Governing Council, Academic Board and Congregation. 
  • The Registrar is responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administrative work of the institution, serving as custodian of all official records, laws, and the institutional seal; the Registrar heads the Registry, oversees  recruitment, promotion, discipline, welfare and personnel records of staff, coordinates admissions, examinations, students' records, and convocation. 
  • The Registrar advises Management and Council on administrative and legal compliance, and handles issuance and authentication of all official documents.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Academic Qualification: A good honors Degree (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division) from a recognized university in Humanities, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of post-qualification cognate experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Rank: Must not be below the rank of Deputy Registrar in a Polytechnic or equivalent in a tertiary institution for at least 5 years on the rank.
  • Professional Membership: Should possess membership of a relevant Professional body.
  • Age Limit: Shall not be a person above 60 years of age at the point of assumption of Office as the Registrar of the College. 
  • Candidate should possess basic information and communication technology (ICT) skills.
  • Health: Must be of good physical and mental health.

Qualities:

  • All Candidates must be morally sound, of impeccable character and not be likely to pursue racial, gender, political, religious or other sectional interests.
