Job Description
The European Union (EU) is the result of an economic and political partnership between 27 European countries. It plays a major role on the international stage, whether through diplomacy, trade, development aid, or cooperation with international organizations. Abroad, it is represented by more than 140 diplomatic missions, also known as EU delegations, which have a function similar to that of an embassy.
The EU Delegation to Burundi ensures the representation of the EU in the country, encourages bilateral relations in many areas, promotes EU values and interests, manages EU-funded programs and conducts "public diplomacy" actions.
