Plant Operator II (2 Positions) at Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC), May 2026

The successful candidates will be responsible for operating mechanical plant and handling equipment in accordance with approved procedures, policies, and safety requirements. Key duties include:

• Operating winches and cranes as per approved procedures and policies.
• Providing quality services in plant operation.
• Performing gangway activities.
• Operating mechanical equipment, including:
  • Winches
  • Forklifts
  • Terminal tractors
  • Cranes
• Carrying out loading, offloading or discharging, and delivery of motor vehicles and other cargo into and from trains.
• Driving and operating mechanical handling equipment within workshops, yard premises, and depot yards, including:
  • Forklifts
  • Shunting tractors
  • Green butts
  • Stationary pillars
  • Gantry manual or powered equipment
• Performing any other relevant duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
