Job Description

Support the long-term growth of the company’s brand portfolio through the execution of marketing activities, product launches, and trade initiatives. The Junior Brand Manager contributes to delivering sales, market share, and profitability targets by assisting in the development and execution of annual brand plans, while gaining exposure to the full spectrum of brand management.

Key Deliverables

Brand Management & Execution

  • Support in developing and executing the annual brand plan On Time, In Full (OTIF) and within budget.
  • Assist in new product development (NPD) and launch processes, including artwork development, packaging, and claims approval.
  • Provide input into pricing and promotional strategies in collaboration with the Customer Marketing team.
  • Support development of communication briefs and manage agency deliverables (ATL, BTL, Digital, PR).
  • Track and report brand performance, identifying risks and opportunities to improve.
  • Prepare brand updates, presentations, and competitor/category reviews.

2) Market & Consumer Insight

  • Analyse market data (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, retail audits) to evaluate brand performance.
  • Monitor consumer and market trends to identify innovation opportunities.
  • Translate insights into actionable marketing and brand activities

3) Financial & Budget Management

  • Assist in managing and tracking brand budgets, ensuring spend is in line with KPIs.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and reconciliations.
  • Track ROI of campaigns and implement corrective actions when needed

4) Project & Cross-Functional Collaboratio

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Regulatory, etc.) to ensure flawless execution of NPDs and campaigns.
  • Support trade activations and customer marketing priorities to ensure alignment with brand plans.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies and suppliers.

Professional Qualifications

Industry Qualification
Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Retail 1) Knowledge - Solid understanding of marketing principles (ATL, BTL, digital, research, consumer insights) 2) Skills and attributes - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with Nielsen/Kantar data (advantageous). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Commercial acumen and attention to detail. Strong organisational and project management skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, “can-do” attitud 3) Experience and Education Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or related field (BCOM/BA/IMM). 1–3 years’ experience in marketing/brand support, ideally within FMCG
