Job Description
Youth For Christ Rwanda (YFC Rwanda) is a Christian, interdenominational organization committed to reaching young people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping them become lifelong followers of Christ. To strengthen the management and maintenance of its facilities and organizational assets, YFC Rwanda invites qualified and committed individuals to apply for the position of Maintenance and Asset Care Technician.
Duty Station:
Kigali, Rwanda, with travel to YFC Rwanda schools, ministry centers, and project sites as required.
Reports To: Logistics and Procurement Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
The Maintenance and Asset Care Technician will be responsible for ensuring that YFC Rwanda's buildings, equipment, furniture, utilities, and other physical assets are maintained in a safe, functional, and efficient condition. The successful candidate will lead preventive maintenance activities, carry out technical repairs, coordinate specialized maintenance services, and contribute to the effective management of organizational facilities and assets.

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and organizational assets.
- Coordinate external technicians and contractors for specialized repairs.
- Maintain maintenance records and prepare monthly reports.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Support the management, protection, and proper utilization of organizational assets.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from departments and project sites.
