Supervision: The Logistics & Procurement Officer for the PPL will be supervised by the Operations Manager, to whom they will report directly. They will, in turn, supervise the logistics and procurement assistants, warehouse staff, vehicle and motorcycle drivers, mechanics, truck drivers, maintenance workers, and field technicians. In addition to the PPL team in the DRC, the Logistics & Procurement Officer may be required to work closely with the Africa regional office and FZS headquarters. Your tasks: Overall: • Manage and improve logistics and procurement processes (planning, implementation, documentation) in compliance with internal procedures and donor requirements. • Supervise and coordinate the logistics/procurement team, including warehouses and fleet-related functions, and foster structured, team-oriented cooperation. • Establish and maintain rigorous documentation (orders, contracts, delivery notes, inventories, fixed asset register) and provide regular reporting. • Manage the vehicle fleet and transportation (maintenance, insurance/taxes, safety protocols, fuel consumption monitoring, allocation planning, mission/travel documents). • Manage suppliers: market research/pricing, consultations/tenders, negotiation, and maintenance of a list of qualified suppliers. • Manage stock and warehouses: appropriate storage, regular inventories, and tracking of deliveries until handover to the teams. • Support program managers with logistical data, analyses and concrete recommendations for improvement.

Particular attention is paid to experience within an international non-governmental organization and to the requirements of bilateral donors. Logistics and procurement expert with significant experience in meeting the requirements of international NGOs and bilateral donors, in the context of the DRC; Prior work experience in contexts similar to our field operations, particularly in conservation, paramilitary operations, and protected area operations; sound knowledge of inventory management; mastery of DRC customs/tax regulations; fluent French, professional English; advanced MS Office skills ; experience in remote areas Driving license. Desirable: Experiences with International NGOs Good knowledge of procurement procedures (KfW, GIZ, EU, US), particularly with bilateral donors Experience in the protection of protected areas, patrols and biomonitoring, etc. Strong skills in analysis and strategic planning Excellent negotiation skills and strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, as well as the ability to remain calm under pressure and keep strategic priorities in mind. Experience in management and supervisory responsibilities, including supporting the development of others (including mentoring, coaching, etc.) Experience with purchasing management software Knowledge of asset management Understanding of security protocols .
