Job Description

You will coordinate the implementation of all daily logistical activities to ensure that all programs and operations have the necessary goods and services at the right time, with the aim of supporting high-quality programs for poor and vulnerable people. Your knowledge and experience will enable you to coordinate product and logistical needs and challenges, as well as the implementation of solutions, while applying the principles of responsible management, integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Key Deliverables

  • Coordinate with relevant programming staff regarding logistics services that meet pipeline requirements. Help identify supply chain management challenges and provide recommendations for addressing them.
  • Support the implementation of delivery operations from the arrival of goods in the country (or at the local point of purchase) to the final warehouses and distribution centers, in accordance with CRS and donor regulations, as well as international and local supply chain standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the purchasing team to ensure they receive timely purchase requests with full specifications, delivery schedules and other terms and conditions, including labeling, branding and marking.
  • Provide regular guidance and support to CRS and partner staff and workers to ensure they have the capacity to accurately, consistently and transparently implement logistics processes related to goods and to comply with safety, security and health requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating and supervising activities related to the receipt, transport, distribution, and disposal of goods. Liaise with surveyors, C&F agents, the transport manager, partners, and other parties to ensure the timely receipt and distribution of goods.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Hold a degree at BAC+3 level in the field of security, supply chain or related discipline;
  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics and security
  • At least 3 years of experience in the humanitarian field, particularly in the implementation of complex projects and the resolution of problems related to humanitarian access. International experience would be an asset.
  • Excellent understanding of humanitarian principles and humanitarian access issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), information systems including Teams, Whatsapp
  • Mastering communication systems and the use of communication equipment (SAT phone, radio, internet, etc.)
  • Ability to implement complex contextual analyses and identify trends.
