The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ) also known as the Office of the Ombudsman is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 59 (4) and Chapter Fifteen of the Constitution, and the Commission on Administrative Justice Act, 2011. The Commission has a mandate, inter-alia, to investigate any conduct in state affairs or any act or omission 

• Screening of complainants
• Assisting in handling public complaints and provision of legal advice;
• Assisting in conducting legal research on matters relating to administrative justice and other legal matters;
• Compiling reports and collating data for preparation of briefs
• Any other duty assigned by the Commission from time to time
