Key Deliverables

  • Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in educational psychology and educational support.
  • Participating in the development and assessment of teaching and learning opportunities.
  • Research and publication in areas of specialisation.
  • Supervision of postgraduate students.
  • Participating in social impact projects,and rendering appropriate services to the University and teaching community.
  • Performing academic and programme management functions.

  • Voorgraadse en nagraadse onderrig in opvoedkundige sielkunde en leerondersteuning.
  • Deelname aan die ontwikkeling en assessering van onderrig- en leergeleenthede.
  • Navorsing en publikasies in die spesialisrigtings.
  • Studieleiding aan nagraadse studente.
  • Deelname aan sosiale impak-projekte en voorsien gepaste dienste aan die Universiteit en onderrig-gemeenskap.
  • Verrig akademiese en programbestuurspligte.

Professional Qualifications

Industry Qualification
Educational Services Master's degree in educational psychology. Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an educational psychologist. A strong academic record. Sound expertise in and experience of educational research, learning support and educational psychology. A relevant teaching qualification. Thorough knowledge of educational changes, policy and context, as well as knowledge of educational psychology in Africa. Computer literacy, with the ability to use various Microsoft programs (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and online teaching platforms). Commitment to further research. ------------------------------------------------------- Meestersgraad in opvoedkundige sielkunde. Geregistreer by die Raad vir Gesondheidsberoepe van Suid-Afrika as 'n opvoedkundige sielkundige. 'n Sterk akademiese rekord. Grondige kundigheid van en ervaring in onderwysnavorsing, leerderondersteuning en opvoedkundige sielkunde. 'n Toepaslike onderwyskwalifikasie. Kennis van huidige onderwysveranderinge, -beleid en -konteks, asook kennis van opvoedkundige sielkunde in Afrika. Rekenaargeletterdheid met die vermoë om verskeie Microsoft programme te gebruik (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, aanlyn onderrig platforms, ens.). Verbintenis tot verdere navorsing. ----------------------------
