Injection Moulding Mechanical Supervisor (Husky Systems) at Prima Corporations Limited

Job Summary

The Mechanical Supervisor oversees the mechanical reliability, maintenance, and uptime of high-output Husky injection moulding systems and auxiliary equipment.

This role manages a team of technicians to optimize production efficiency, maintain resin drying systems, and ensure the precise operation of mold dehumidifiers in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Husky Machinery & Automation Maintenance:

• Supervise mechanical repairs, routine servicing, and overhauls on Husky moulding platforms.
• Monitor and maintain clamping units, high-speed toggle mechanisms, tie-bars, and structural alignments.
• Oversee the mechanical timing and alignment of Husky take-out plates, robotic arms, and product handling systems.

Auxiliary Systems Management:

• Manage preventive maintenance for industrial resin dryers, including desiccant wheel inspections, heater checks, and airflow calibrations.
• Oversee mold dehumidifier units to ensure stable dew points and prevent mold sweating during production.
• Maintain central water chilling loops, manifold connections, and pneumatic supply lines.

Team Leadership & Mold Changes:

• Direct, train, and schedule daily tasks for mechanical technicians and mold setters.
• Coordinate multi-cavity hot runner mold changes, ensuring correct mechanical seating and utility hookups.
• Enforce strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and plant safety regulations during all maintenance activities.

Diagnostics & Inventory Control;

• Troubleshoot complex hydraulic systems, proportional valves, pumps, and pneumatic circuits.
• Track and maintain inventory for critical spare parts, including seals, O-rings, toggle pins, and filters.
• Document machine downtime, root-cause analyses, and completed maintenance tasks.
