The position

1. Main mission

The General Cashier is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accounts, and overseeing cashier operations for one of our clients in the hospitality industry. He/she plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and guest satisfaction.

Key Deliverables

  • Transaction Management
  • Carry out cash register transactions accurately and quickly.
  • Verify and validate financial transactions.
  • Manage refunds and exchanges in accordance with established procedures.
  • Account keeping
  • Maintain cash registers and management computer systems.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the reconciliation of cash accounts.
  • Supervision and control
  • Supervise cash register operations and train new employees as needed.
  • Identify and report anomalies or irregularities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure optimal financial management.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Training in accounting, financial management or related field is an asset.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar position, ideally in the hospitality or finance sector.

Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of financial management principles and accounting techniques.
  • Proficiency in financial management IT tools (ERP, accounting software).
  • Ability to use cash register equipment and electronic payment systems.
