Key Deliverables

  • A strategic, cross-functional position that is part of a collaborative management dynamic within the RN Management Team
  • Aims to ensure the implementation of Headquarters policies through FIN procedures
  • Makes decisions necessary to ensure the effective implementation of financial policy
  • Identify Memisa's financial challenges in relation to operational priorities.
  • Participates in discussions on organizational changes and in the development of job descriptions related to technical and financial aspects for the DRC, in order to ensure the best possible execution, accountability, and synergy between all Memisa financial elements, both at headquarters and in the field.
  • has a functional-technical responsibility for all FIN services in the BATs in the DRC

Tasks

  • Finance :
  • Supervision of the management of the RN's accounting in accordance with Memisa and donor procedures (control of accounting supporting documents, archiving, …).
  • Monitoring and control of the application of financial procedures and participation in their updates (purchasing procedures, financial reports, cash management, annual budget preparation, etc.)
  • Preparing for external audits stipulated in contracts signed with donors and internal audits, and ensuring internal management control of BATs in the provinces and partners
  • Strengthening and supporting DRC teams (protocols, methodological manuals, training, seminars)
  • Supervising a team of 2 to 3 people
  • On-site support and internal monitoring of local teams and/or partners
  • Communication, documentation and information directed both within Memisa and towards third parties

Professional Qualifications

Industry Qualification
Finance, Accounting And Assurance Services Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field CPA (K) or ACCA qualification preferred Minimum 5 years experience in finance or accounting Experience in real estate or construction industry is an advantage Strong knowledge of Kenya tax regulations and financial compliance Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
