NoKey Deliverables
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all critical hospital systems, including electricals, plumbing, medical gas systems, and central utility plants.
- Serve as the point of contact for all facilities emergencies, ensuring rapid response to failures that could impact patient safety or critical operations (e.g., power outages, water leaks).
- Manage the operation and coordinate repair of all hospital infrastructure, including standby generators, and other equipment.
- Lead the hospital's Life Safety program, including managing fire detection and suppression systems, emergency preparedness plans, and required drills.
- Work closely with Infection Control teams to ensure facility systems to mitigate the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate in-house facilities and maintenance staff (e.g., engineers, technicians, groundskeepers).
- Manage external maintenance, cleaning, and security contracts, ensuring work is performed to specification, on time, and within budget.
- Develop, monitor, and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budgets for the Facilities department.
- Oversee minor construction, renovations, and departmental relocations, acting as the primary liaison between hospital leadership, contractors, and design teams.
