WTP Operator at Bagamoyo Sugar Limited

1. Operate water treatment equipment such as filters, softeners, clarifiers, and chemical dosing systems.
2. Monitor water quality parameters (pH, TDS, hardness, chlorine, etc.) and adjust treatment processes accordingly.
3. Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of WTP equipment.
4. Record operational data including flow rates, chemical consumption, and equipment performance.
5. Troubleshoot operational problems and report major faults to the supervisor.
6. Ensure proper storage and handling of water treatment chemicals.
7. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the plant area.
8. Follow safety protocols, including PPE use, chemical handling, and emergency procedures.
9. Support continuous improvement initiatives for water treatment efficiency.
