Job Description

The Technical and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel's technical installations. They are responsible for improving energy efficiency and the services offered to guests.

Key Deliverables

  • Manage all technical activities of the hotel
  • Manage teams on technical best practices and establish policies and procedures while leading the department and mentoring direct reports
  • Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of the hotel's technical installations
  • Develop and monitor investment budgets and maintenance budgets (Contracts, Purchases, etc.)
  • Develop and implement technical projects aimed at improving the efficiency and quality of services
  • Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards for technical work in the hotel
  • Ensure technological monitoring in the hotel industry and propose technical innovations adapted to the needs of the hotel
  • Be the guarantor of the proper use of the hotel's technical equipment
  • Coordinate and ensure the implementation of regulatory procedures and monitoring (Security of property and people, etc.)
  • Produce information, analysis and reports to ensure management is informed of project and work progress, issues and agreed resolutions
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and customers
  • Define and implement preventive maintenance programs, thus guaranteeing the quality of the hotel's furniture, fittings and equipment

Essential Qualities

  • Bac + 5 in Electrotechnics, Hotel and Real Estate Maintenance or other related fields
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in managing technical projects in the hospitality industry
  • Strong project management, planning and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards for hotel design and construction
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to lead and motivate a team of technical professionals and consultants
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical plans, as well as provide constructive feedback
  • Very good knowledge of the different trades: construction, electricity, plumbing, painting, carpentry, masonry
  • Methodical, organized and service-oriented
  • Knowledge of French and English will be an asset
