Work Reference No. 12/25 Position: System Administrator

Reporting to: Senior System Administrator

Job Purpose

This position is part of the IT operations team of VisionFund Tanzania and its purpose is:

• To ensure users computers and applications are available
• To ensure all users IT facilities specifications during acquisitions are per approved standard
• To ensure trainings to staff in regard to use of services, applications and computers are adequately attended
• To ensure all staff enquiries are attended diligently via IT helpdesk

  • Work with HOD to ensure systems are optimized to support business operations through regularly scheduled operation reviews.
  • Work with HOD on business plan target and establish annual plan
• Relationship Management with Stakeholders:
  • Work with Work with Senior Infrastructure and Integration Officer stakeholders to define business and systems requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between IT staff, vendors, ISPs to improve SLA;
• IT Security Management
  • Work with Senior Infrastructure & Integration Officer to observe if the IT Security standards are adhered

  • Ensure implementation of backup management are highly adhered
  • Facilitate the implementation and testing of DRP
• System reliable at 98% uptime rate
  • Ensure the both systems uptimes are 24x7x365 with latest patches and software
  • Innovatively maintain and improve performance of the system
  • Ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of data being processed, stored and retrieved
• Maintain and monitor updates and patches of application and databases by

• Close of Business (Cob) Management
  • Lead COB batch processing team
  • COB execution as per COB guide in monthly shifting
