Key Deliverables

Sector monitoringYou will continuously monitor technological, economic, and regulatory developments in the DRC's energy sector: new market dynamics, private sector initiatives, and changes in the legal and regulatory framework. You will analyze these trends in real time and adapt Enabel's strategy and interventions accordingly.Promotion of decentralized renewable energyYou facilitate the development of models involving private operators (from small local SMEs to international players) in the rural electrification, decentralized renewable energy, clean cooking, and productive use of electricity segments (agribusiness, e-mobility, electric cooking). You develop "nexus" approaches (energy-water-agriculture) to strengthen local value creation, in synergy with Enabel's other portfolios.Private sector participationYou will contribute to creating an environment conducive to investment and will facilitate the alignment of projects with financial support initiatives. You will critically and analytically analyze, compare, and justify opportunities for technical and financial assistance.Institutional and regulatory supportYou support national and provincial partners in identifying and implementing technical assistance and facilitation opportunities, and integrate these opportunities into industry dynamics and trends.Partnership developmentYou will integrate Enabel's programs into the vision of the Energy Compact and M300 and its ecosystem in the DRC. You will create and maintain synergies with private and public stakeholders, as well as high-level Technical and Financial Partners. You will position and represent Enabel in forums related to various energy-related themes. You will identify opportunities and develop synergies within the programs of other Enabel departments (particularly agriculture, health, training and employment, and others).Institutional monitoring and developmentYou identify portfolio development opportunities, participate in and lead the formulation of associated projects, and ensure quality control of the energy portfolio throughout the project cycle. You produce the necessary documents for visibility and internal and external communication of the impact of Enabel's actions, including institutional reporting and reporting to donors. You participate in fundraising efforts and contribute to the formulation of new proposals aimed at expanding interventions. You guide the growth and development of the team in line with the development of the project portfolio and partnerships.

Professional Qualifications

Industry Qualification
Strategic Planning Nationality: Democratic Republic of the Congo Required education level Master's degree in engineering (energy, electricity, electromechanics), economics, or any other relevant field.
