1. Petroleum Sales & Commercial Performance
➢ Drive achievement of monthly fuel volume (liters), LPG revenue, and lubricants sales targets.
➢ Grow commercial and fleet fuel accounts within the station’s catchment area.
➢ Monitor competitor fuel pricing and local market trends within the petroleum sector.
➢ Analyse daily fuel uplift, sales, and margin reports; investigate variances.
➢ Lead structured sales briefings focused on fuel volumes, cross-selling lubricants, and LPG growth.
2. Operational Management
⮚ Oversee daily station operations, ensuring strict adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all activities.
⮚ Ensure prudent stocks management, accurate product receipt, and timely sales processes.
⮚ Maintain the operational readiness of pumps, tanks, and equipment through scheduled preventive maintenance and timely coordination of repairs.
⮚ Ensure the management and safe custody of all station assets, equipment, furniture, and stationery.
⮚ Monitor competitor activities and suggest strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
⮚ Ensure proper staffing levels, workforce discipline, and professional qualifications of all station employees.
⮚ Oversee staff supervision, performance appraisal, training, and development to achieve operational excellence.
⮚ Manage staff schedules, attendance, and all administrative tasks related to the team.
3. Financial Management and Inventory Control
⮚ Ensure daily sales, stock reconciliation, banking records, and reporting are done accurately and in line with the company’s format.
⮚ Conduct frequent physical and system stock checks and stock takes to prevent shortages and reconcile variances.
⮚ Institute financial controls, manage station cash, and control expenditure within approved budget limits.
⮚ Implement and enforce credit control policies to minimize company exposure to risk.
4. Customer Relationship Management
⮚ Spearhead the customer relationship strategy to ensure top notch customer service and loyalty, transforming the station into the preferred brand in the locality.
⮚ Promptly and professionally address and resolve customer feedback and complaints to protect the brand's reputation and ensure customer retention.
⮚ Attend to customer inquiries and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
⮚ Maintain good relations with local government and all regulatory authorities.
5. Digital & Systems Management
⮚ Supervise and maintain the proper use of all digital tools, including Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all transactional data captured by the POS.
⮚ Manage user access, security, and permissions within all station software and digital platforms to protect company assets and data.
⮚ Submit all compulsory reports on time and in the required digital format.
⮚ Ensure all staff are proficient and adequately trained in the use of existing and new technology platforms.
6. Compliance, Health, Safety & Environment
⮚ Uphold and ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental Quality (HSEQ) policies and standards required by the company and regulatory bodies. Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including ensuring all necessary licenses are paid and displayed on time.
⮚ Implement energy-saving measures and environmentally friendly practices, including waste management and spill control.
⮚ Establish and enforce emergency response protocols, including fire safety and first aid training.
