Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Head of Program (THOP), as MEAL Manager, you are responsible for the MEAL and Information Management (IM) teams within the program scope and directly manage at least one Senior MEAL Officer, one Senior IM Officer, and all MEAL and IM teams nationwide. You are responsible for adapting the MEAL and IM HI standards to the program and ensuring their implementation. The overall coherence of projects and quality control are jointly ensured by the MEAL department and the Head of the Technical Unit.

Key Deliverables

  1. Supporting the nationalization process of the MEAL Manager position
  2. Harmonization of tools: Ensuring consistency of MEAL tools between different databases, by identifying best practices and implementing common standards adapted to the context.
  3. Standardizing processes: Developing and disseminating standardized tools for data collection, monitoring and evaluation to ensure consistent data management across all projects.
  4. Capacity building: Training and supporting MEAL teams at the base level to ensure the adoption of harmonized tools and compliance with quality standards.
  5. Monitoring and quality control: Supervise the implementation of projects by ensuring that the data collected is reliable, that accountability mechanisms are applied, and that the results meet the expectations of donors and beneficiaries.
  6. Analysis and continuous improvement: Leveraging consolidated data to produce cross-functional analyses to guide projects, identify gaps, and propose areas for improvement.
  7. Inter-base coordination: Strengthening collaboration between bases for effective information sharing and synchronization of efforts related to MEAL

Professional Qualifications

Industry Qualification
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning You have 5 years of experience in the field of humanitarian and development project coordination, including at least 2 years in MEAL roles. You have solid experience in team management and in developing teams, supporting them, and fostering their autonomy. You are able to propose processes for simplification and prioritization. You have proven experience in contributing to the development of operational strategy documents. You are a team player and can work in a multicultural environment.
