- The SAP Project Director provides end-to-end leadership, governance, and delivery oversight for large-scale SAP transformation programs, including SAP S/4HANA and ECC.
- This role ensures alignment with enterprise strategy, drives on-time and on-budget execution, and secures measurable business value across all functions.
- The Director serves as the executive anchor for SAP-enabled transformation, integrating business, technology, and change leadership to deliver sustainable outcomes.

Program & Delivery Leadership:
- Lead enterprise-wide SAP transformation programs ranging from USD 5–50M+ in scope.
- Define and own program scope, roadmap, milestones, budget, and benefits realization.
- Oversee multiple SAP functional workstreams, including FI/CO, MM, SD, PM, PS, HCM, BW/BI, and IS-Oil (where applicable).
- Ensure delivery excellence across design, build, testing, data, cutover, and deployment.
Governance & Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and lead SAP program governance, PMO structures, and decision-making frameworks.
- Chair Steering Committee meetings and executive reviews, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Serve as the primary interface between business leadership, IT, system integrators, and SAP.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and resolve escalations impacting scope, schedule, or value.
System Integrator & Vendor Management:
- Lead the selection, contracting, and performance management of SAP implementation partners.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, quality standards, and contractual deliverables.
- Manage program risks, dependencies, and vendor escalations to maintain delivery momentum.
Risk, Quality & Compliance:
- Implement robust risk management, quality assurance, and control frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit, cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee data migration strategy, testing cycles, cutover readiness, and go-live approvals.
Change Management & Adoption:
- Sponsor organizational change management, training, and user adoption initiatives.
- Build and support super-user networks, communication plans, and business readiness activities.
- Drive business ownership of SAP processes and ensure sustainable process adoption.
Post-Go-Live & Value Optimization:
- Lead hypercare, stabilization, and transition to AMS/support teams.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and SAP innovation roadmap (e.g., Fiori, BTP, analytics).
- Ensure ongoing value realization and alignment with evolving business needs.
Professional Qualifications

| Product & Project Management | Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Finance, or Business required. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. Professional Experience: 15–25 years of experience delivering large-scale SAP programs. Minimum 8+ years in senior leadership roles overseeing multi-year SAP transformations. Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, or Infrastructure sectors. Experience working in Africa or emerging markets is a strong advantage. Certifications (Preferred): PMP, PRINCE2, SAP S/4HANA, or related SAP certifications. Agile/SAFe exposure is beneficial. Key Skills & Competencies: Enterprise SAP program leadership and transformation expertise. Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and integrated business processes. Strong vendor and stakeholder management across executive and operational levels. Financial and commercial acumen, including contract and budget management. Executive communication, negotiation, and decision-making capability. Ability to lead in complex, multicultural, and fast-paced environments. Success Measures: Delivery of SAP programs on time, on budget, and within scope. High levels of business adoption, process ownership, and user satisfaction.
