About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Financial Analyst to support the effective financial management and governance of our SAP environment. This role is responsible for administering, analysing and optimising SAP financial processes, reporting and controls to ensure accurate financial information, system integrity and continuous business improvement.

Working closely with Finance, Operations, IT and key business stakeholders, you will play a critical role in supporting financial reporting, month-end processes, SAP optimisation, business analysis and audit compliance while driving improvements in financial processes and system performance.

Key Deliverables

  • Financial Operations and Reporting
  • Manage SAP financial transactions, month-end and year-end activities, budgeting, General Ledger processing and financial reporting to ensure accurate financial information and effective business decision-making.
  • SAP Systems and Process Optimisation
  • Administer and continuously improve SAP financial processes, master data and system controls to enhance data integrity, operational efficiency and standardisation.
  • Financial Analysis and Business Support
  • Analyse financial information, perform reconciliations, investigate variances and provide financial insights and reporting to support business performance and informed decision-making.
  • Financial Governance, Risk and Audit
  • Maintain financial controls, support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with financial policies, statutory requirements and governance standards to minimise risk and strengthen financial integrity.
  • Functional Support and Capability Development
  • Provide SAP functional support, resolve finance-related system issues and promote knowledge sharing and best practices to improve user capability and consistent system utilisation.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Minimum BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance or SAP support role.
  • Experience working within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment, preferably SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO).
  • Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and month-end processes.
  • Experience supporting finance operations within a project and/or manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audit requirements.

 

Key technical skills

  • Advanced SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) knowledge, including financial reporting, master data management and transaction processing.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Financial reporting, General Ledger management, reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • SAP process optimisation, system configuration support and user support.
  • Knowledge of project accounting, financial controls and project-related SAP processes.
  • Understanding of manufacturing finance processes within an SAP environment.
  • Financial governance, compliance and internal control principles.
  • Data analysis, financial modelling and management reporting.
