Key Deliverables

Customer Service & Sales Support:

  • Greet customers warmly and create a friendly, engaging shopping experience.
  • Assist customers in selecting gifts, décor, kitchenware, kids’ items, and specialty products.
  • Provide product knowledge, recommendations, and creative gift ideas.
  • Curate thoughtful gift combinations based on occasion and customer preference.
  • Wrap gifts neatly and beautifully using wrapping paper.
  • Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
  • Handle customer concerns politely and professionally.
  • Always maintain a positive brand image.

Store Operations:

  • Open and/or close the store according to established procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization across displays, shelves, counters, and stock areas.
  • Restock merchandise regularly and ensure products are properly tagged and priced.
  • Assist with receiving shipments, unpacking goods, and organizing the stockroom.
  • Support general store upkeep and smooth daily operations.

Visual Merchandising:

  • Help create attractive, on-brand product displays that align with store themes.
  • Refresh merchandising layouts as inventory or seasonal themes change.
  • Ensure shelves and display tables are neat, visually appealing, and fully stocked.
  • Assist in styling products for in-store presentation and marketing content.

Inventory Management:

  • Conduct inventory counts and help monitor product levels.
  • Report low-stock items, fast-moving products, and customer requests to the Supervisor.
  • Track new arrivals and support accurate inventory documentation.

Teamwork & Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members and management.
  • Communicate customer feedback, issues, or store needs clearly and promptly.
  • Support a positive, healthy team environment.

Digital & Instagram Responsibilities:

  • Assist with capturing product photos/videos for Instagram and other digital platforms
  • Prepare products for content creation cleaning, arranging, and styling items.
  • Reply to simple online inquiries or comments when requested.
  • Notify the marketing team of new arrivals or content opportunities.
  • Support online visibility and engagement, resulting in increased sales.

Professional Qualifications

Industry Qualification
Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Retail OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Minimum of 2 years of retail sales experience, preferably in a gift, décor, or home store. Completed customer service training. Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication skills. Ability to curate gifts and wrap items neatly. Comfort using a POS system (training provided). Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and good merchandising skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 30 lbs. Must be customer-oriented, professional, and eager to learn.
