Job Purpose:

The Quality & Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring product quality, food safety and efficient warehouse operations across raw material receiving, production storage, finished goods handling and dispatch in an avocado oil processing facility. This role combines hands-on quality assurance with inventory control and warehouse management ensuring traceability, stock accuracy, safe storage, and timely distribution while supervising a small team.

Key Deliverables

• Supervise and coordinate daily QA/QC activities on the production floor, including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and final product evaluation.

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and local regulatory requirements.

• Assist in maintaining and improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS).

• Assist in conducting internal audits and support external audits and inspections.

• Maintain accurate documentation and records of quality checks, non-conformances, corrective actions, and production deviations.

• Support the training of production and Quality Control staff on quality and hygiene practices.

• Coordinate sampling, testing, and release of raw material and final product.

• Investigate customer complaints and quality incidents; implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Monitor sanitation and GMP compliance across the processing facility.

• Oversee receiving, inspection, proper storage (including temperature control where required).

• Maintain accurate inventory records (FIFO/LIFO as appropriate), conduct regular cycle counts and lead periodic full stock takes.

• Use and maintain the inventory management system ensure accurate intake records, issues, and adjustments are recorded correctly and promptly.

• forecast short-term material needs in coordination with procurement and production planning to prevent stock outs or overstocking.

• Manage storage conditions for raw materials and oil (tanks, drums, bottles) to prevent quality loss and contamination.

• Ensure warehouse and quality activities comply with health and safety regulations and company SOPs.

• Maintain orderly, clean, and pest-free storage areas; coordinate with maintenance and pest control teams.

• Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities

i. Bachelor’s Degree/Higher diploma in Business Administration/ Food Science or any other relevant field.

ii. Solid inventory management skills: stock rotation (FIFO), cycle counting, reconciliation, variance analysis, and experience with an inventory/ERP or WMS system.

iii. Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a FMCG will be an added advantage.

iv. Quality control certification advantageous.

v. Excellent attention to detail.

vi. Good knowledge of GMP and HACCP procedures 

vii. Excellent verbal and written communication.

viii. Data analysis and statistical aptitude.

ix. Strong record-keeping and documentation skills; attention to detail.

x. Good interpersonal skills and leads with human sensitivity
