Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Projects Lead to spearhead cross-functional strategic initiatives that drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the company. This role is critical in coordinating and executing high-impact projects in close collaboration with department heads—spanning Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain. You will be the central hub for project execution, ensuring alignment with company priorities and acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership.

Key Deliverables

  • Project Management Office (PMO) Oversight:

Establish, maintain, and continuously improve PMO standards, tools, templates, and reporting structures. 

  • Projects Leadership and Execution:

Lead and drive mission-critical, cross-functional projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within scope and budget.

  • AI Tools Integration:

Identify and implement AI-powered tools and platforms to improve entire company processes operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and project management processes.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

Be a master collaborator—facilitating alignment between departments, managing competing priorities, and ensuring strong inter-departmental communication.

  • Leadership Engagement:

Work closely with senior leaders on key strategic initiatives, ensuring visibility, buy-in, and clear reporting on progress and impact.

  • Risk Management & Problem Solving:

Anticipate risks, develop mitigation plans, and resolve project-related issues in real time. 

  • Performance Tracking & Reporting:

Develop dashboards and progress trackers using PMO and AI tools to provide regular status updates to leadership.

Professional Qualifications

Industry Qualification
Program/Project Implementation Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) is an added advantage.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in project management, and managing cross-functional projects. 
  • Proven experience in a Beverage company or FMCG within East Africa is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Intermediate command of modern PMO tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project).
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, Tableau/Power BI, automation platforms like Zapier).
