We're seeking a skilled Project Accountant who had worked in the Energy, Telecommunication and Utility sector to join our team. This role is crucial in monitoring project progress, investigating variances, and ensuring timely billing and payment collection

• Creating project accounts in the accounting system and monitoring profitability.
• Maintaining project records, including contracts and change orders.
• Tracking access to project accounts.
• Monitoring the transfer of expenses into and out of project-related accounts.
• Reviewing supplier invoices and ensuring accuracy.
• Reviewing time sheets for project-related work.
• Tracking overhead charges applied to projects.
• Reviewing project asset and expense accounts, providing reports upon project completion.
• Investigating project variances and submitting reports.
• Collaborating with receivable staff on unpaid contract billings.
• Reporting project profitability to management on a weekly basis.
• Identifying opportunities for additional billings.
• Reporting remaining project funding versus budget.
• Creating or approving project billings and ensuring prompt payments.
• Investigating unbilled project expenses.
• Responding to customer requests for billing details.
• Tracking and chasing purchase orders and payments.
• Closing out project accounts upon completion.
• Creating and submitting government reports and tax returns related to projects.
• Compiling information for internal and external auditors.
