Miral Welfare Foundation is an NGO that supports vulnerable children and empowers children with disabilities in the community. We are looking for an expert in the fields of health/social sciences to work as a Program Officer to support the organization in meeting its objectives and grow their career while working for the organization
Background
Miral is founded in 1993 based on the spirit of Christianity. We are committed to achieving our goals that support the social inclusion of persons with disabilities and the most vulnerable people. Our experts in various fields work on developing and implementing sustainable international development/cooperation programs and domestic welfare programs based on our sincerity and expertise. PURPOSE OF RECRUITMENT
Miral Welfare Foundation is an NGO that’s supports and empowers children with disabilities in the community. We are looking for an expertise in social sciences to work as intern in Health and Disability Awareness program.

NoKey Deliverables
- The Program Officer will coordinate and conduct field activities including handling sponsored children, report writing, data management, disability awareness creation, health, and rehabilitation issues of children with disabilities. Other duties include.
- Assisting in the management of sponsored children in the community
- Assisting in child health follow-ups
- Organizing Awareness training and Medical Outreach activities in the community
- Linking the beneficiaries with other relevant bodies
- Assisting the project managers as requested
- Conversant with Child rights and advocacy
- Demonstrate ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- The ability to communicate fluently in English, Swahili, and Dholuo will be an added advantage.
- Conducting a medical health Checkup for the sponsored children
- Maintain and update the client’s profile
