Key Deliverables

Recruitment

· Develop and publish job advertisements across platforms.

· Source candidates using job boards, social media, and networking.

· Maintain a talent database for future hiring needs.

· Screen CVs and conduct initial interviews.

· Coordinate interview schedules and participate in panel interviews.

· Conduct reference and background checks.

· Prepare and extend job offers aligned with budget approvals

Onboarding

· Welcome new employees and ensure all documentation is submitted.

· Coordinate onboarding logistics including IT setup, welcome gifts, and workstation readiness.

· Schedule onboarding check-ins at 3 and 6 months.

· Distribute engagement surveys and manage onboarding calendars.

· Liaise with line managers and bio-pals to ensure a smooth integration experience.

Offboarding:

· Process resignations and notify relevant stakeholders.

· Coordinate cancellation of benefits (medical aid, gap cover, etc.).

· Facilitate completion and submission of retirement fund documents.

· Conduct exit interviews and document feedback.

· Ensure system access is disabled and exit checklists are completed

Industrial Relations (IR):

· Partner with the People Experience Business Partner to guide managers on conduct and misconduct procedures.

· Support investigations and processing of disciplinary and grievance cases.

· Ensure practices are compliant with labour legislation and internal policies.

Transformation:

·Partners with People Experience Business Partner to ensure that B-BBEE verification process logistics are handled timeously and ensures that audit documents are correct and on file

Performance & Talent Development:

· Support the performance management cycle and ensure timely completion of reviews.

· Track and support implementation of performance improvement plans (PIPs).

· Assist with employee recognition initiatives to foster engagement

General HR Functioning

·Support HR systems and initiatives.

· Provide coaching and counselling on HR policies and procedures.

· Maintain accurate employee records and ensure legal compliance.

· Contribute to HR and brand-related projects for continuous improvement.

· Assist with EE and BBBEE reporting and audits.

HR Metrics & Analytics

· Collect and manage HR data across recruitment, onboarding, performance, training, and employee relations.

· Generate reports on workforce trends (e.g., turnover, absenteeism).

· Define and track KPIs for HR initiatives.

· Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

· Benchmark HR metrics against industry standards.

· Provide data to support workforce planning and succession readiness.

Process improvement and alignment

·Conduct People Experience process gap identification through ongoing and critical review of team processes to ensure alignment with emerging business needs, as well as external best practices, and escalate recommendations for ·continuous improvement to Line Manager to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the People Experience team.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Bachelors degree or diploma in Human Resource and Industrial Psychology or equivalent
  • Recognition is given to Prior Learning and practical experience

Experience needed to deliver the role seamlessly:

  • 1 -3 years HR / Administrative experience
  • Previous HR administration experience is required
  • Knowledge of general administrative processes Knowledge of relevant labour legislation e.g. BCEA;
  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry experience is highly advantageous.
