Job Description

The Intern will assist with the process, checking, and control of raw materials used in our equipment manufacturing operations. The interns will support the inspection, verification, marking, and tracking of incoming materials.

Key Deliverables

  • Assist in the inspection and verification of raw materials (steel, mild steel, paint, etc.).
  • Mark and record all materials delivered to ensure traceability and identification.
  • Support the documentation, traceability, and release process for materials received.
  • Monitor and update minimum stock levels for equipment, nuts, bolts, and washers.
  • Participate in process and quality checks during manufacturing.
  • Ensure that all quality and stock control records are completed accurately and filed correctly.
  • Work closely with the Quality, Logistics, and Production teams to maintain material compliance and readiness for use.
  • Adheres to and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance with ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.

Professional Qualifications

Industry Qualification
Manufacturing / Industrial Production National Diploma in mechanical, metallurgy, or quality management, or equivalent qualification. Fully computer literate (all MS Office packages). Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English; High standard of workmanship Basic understanding of material inspection, handling, and stock control. Attention to detail and willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment.
