Within SevenTwenty Holdings, Set Paints manufactures and distributes high-quality paints in Kenya. We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Production & Tinting Technician to join our growing team and play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards.

Job Summary:

The Production & Tinting Technician is responsible for the efficient and accurate production and tinting of paint according to customer specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of paint properties, tinting systems, and a commitment to quality control.

Key Deliverables

  • Operate paint production equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures.
  • Accurately weigh and measure paint components according to the production sheet .
  • Utilize tinting machines to dispense precise color formulations based on customer orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Conduct quality control checks on produced paints to ensure they meet color and consistency specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • May assist with packaging, labeling, and loading of finished products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Minimum of a diploma in Chemical Engineering, Paint Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a paint production or tinting environment (highly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of paint properties, color theory, and tinting systems.
  • Knowledge of operating paint production and tinting equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and carrying materials.
  • Any other Duty as assigned by the Production Manager.
