Key Deliverables

  • Provide legal advice to the company on contracts, insurance and other commitments, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies.
  • To ensure proactive legal monitoring in order to anticipate legal and regulatory developments impacting the company's activities.
  • Supporting operational teams in negotiating, drafting and implementing contracts, while ensuring the protection of the company's interests.
  • To monitor compliance with contractual commitments, by tracking the execution of contracts and identifying potential risks.
  • Coordinate contract reviews with the various departments and assess the compliance of partners and service providers.
  • Supervise due diligence procedures (ethical, legal, documentary) before any contractual agreement or strategic partnership.
  • Manage the contractual calendar, ensuring follow-up on deadlines and updating of legal obligations.
  • Administer the company's legal documentation, including contracts, land titles and other strategic documents.
  • Ensure compliance of agreements with rules relating to economic sanctions and ensure the traceability of associated data.

  • Understand the HSSSE activities and risks associated with the workstation.
  • To actively contribute to the policy for the prevention of risks of work accidents, socio-professional, industrial, environmental and societal diseases by reporting anomalies and good practices, applying the rules, participating in the various programs and effectively implementing the required actions.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Advanced degree in business law or private law (minimum Bac+5 level);
  • Significant experience in business law, ideally acquired within a large organization, preferably in the oil sector;
  • Excellent command of the legal environment and the specific issues of the oil sector;
  • Solid experience in writing and preparing reports;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Proficiency in office software (MS Office);
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken;
  • Strong sense of organization and professional rigor;
  • Integrity, impeccable ethics and a sense of responsibility;
  • Absolute discretion and respect for confidentiality;
  • Proactivity, responsiveness and ability to manage emergency situations;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation talent.
