Key Deliverables

  • Teaching and supervising students’ projects.
  • Teaching oriented to biotechnologies.
  • Assisting the Head of Department in teaching and learning, or any other assigned related activities.
  • Research and Community outreach

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Having a PhD Degree in Food Science or Food Biotechnology with a minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in higher learning institutions.
  • Being a Senior Lecturer or Professor is an added value.
  • Proven experience in supervising thesis projects.
  • Evidence of securing research grants or leading biotechnology projects.
  • Experience in curriculum development and academic leadership.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current and emerging technologies in biotechnologies.
  • Ability to leverage new technologies to develop a vision and new strategies to support changing student needs.
  • Experience in meeting the diverse needs of stakeholders.
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of program and service trends that support academic success.
  • Willingness to support and advance the Department of Biotechnologies in teaching activities.
  • Proven experience in teaching-related activities.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with staff, students, interns, and researchers from abroad.
  • Outstanding communication skills; reflective and critical thinking approach.
  • Display calmness under pressure and have a sense of humor.
