Interpreter (Chinese-English Bilingual)

You will serve as a critical bridge between our Chinese project management team and the local construction team. Your role is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient transfer of technical information and instructions, providing core support for the smooth progress of the project.

• Provide immediate and accurate interpretation between Chinese and English/Swahili on the construction site/sales department for Chinese managers/technicians and local workers/supervisors.
• Accurately translate technical documents including construction drawings, specifications, material lists, work instructions, and safety manuals.
• Assist in organizing and participating in technical meetings, construction coordination meetings, and safety meetings between Chinese and Kenyan parties, responsible for minute-taking and interpretation.
• Ensure smooth communication on site, helping to resolve any issues arising from language barriers to improve work efficiency.
• Assist in daily communication with local suppliers and government officials as needed.
