Project context
The Infrastructure projects in the 2023-2027 portfolio will essentially be construction projects that will need to integrate a holistic approach (studies, construction and external development, water, energy, digitalization, equipment, community mobilization, management & maintenance) and be environmentally friendly.
The infrastructure expert must have multidisciplinary skills and be able to coordinate activities in the areas of access to water, access to energy and related to opening up isolated areas (multimodal transport) by calling on possible complementary expertise.
The Infrastructure Expert position is based in Kisangani, Tshopo province, with frequent travel to different intervention areas. This position is not tied to a specific intervention but provides cross-cutting support to all interventions.

NoKey Deliverables
- Support for identifying sites and needs with interventions and partners;
- Supervision of the work of establishing infrastructure roadmaps prepared by provincial teams and support for planning;
- Prospecting to identify competent companies to consult during the public procurement phase and management for the procurement process;
- Ensuring compliance with the construction schedule and remediation measures where necessary;
- Technical, financial and administrative monitoring of the various projects currently being executed;
- Focal point for contracts with mobilized international consulting firms;
- From a functional point of view, manage the team of engineers at the provincial level;
- Training of internal teams, companies and design offices to integrate into the various projects the concepts of sustainable construction, of promoting the use of local materials;
- Training of beneficiaries in terms of infrastructure management and maintenance, and of apprentices and workers in terms of professionalization related to the intervention;
- Maintaining up-to-date information to feed the M&E systems.
