Under the supervision of the Bunia Base Manager, the incumbent will ensure the smooth operation of the Bunia office's ICT facilities. They will be the focal point and responsible for the administration of ICT accounts and Mercy Corps users at the Bunia office, and for updating ICT tools such as Jira. They will be required to read and understand Mercy Corps' ICT policy, guide and train staff in their assigned offices on the understanding and implementation of this policy, provide ongoing IT training for the aforementioned staff, and manage, install, and program telecommunications equipment (HF and VHF).

Network Administration: For the Bunia office, they will be fully responsible for the following main tasks: Ensuring the proper functioning of the LAN (Local Area Network: Router, Switch, Access Points); Ensuring the proper functioning of the WAN using Mercy Corps' internal tools (Internet); Assist the technical supervisor in establishing the IT equipment renewal plan; Monitor technical issues and document problems encountered, whether on the network, equipment, or software, using the Jira Service Help Desk tool; In coordination with the Senior ICT Manager in Beni, ensure that Radio and Satellite Telecommunications equipment is functional and correctly installed in the Bases and on Vehicles; Assist the ICT Systems Manager in Beni in proposing improvements to the internal network at Mercy Corps in Bunia through the evaluation and testing of new technologies; Monitor connectivity using appropriate tools (Meraki, Ubiquit, or Microtik); Install, configure, and maintain computers to meet program and operational requirements; Maintain ICT equipment: Printers, VHF, HF, etc.; Perform computer maintenance, installation, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of various hardware and software installations; Provide technical input before any purchase or receipt of an ICT item; They must ensure the installation and configuration of communication kits (HF and VHF); enroll all computers in Bunia on Intune; SharePoint and OneDrive: add or remove users on SharePoint; train users on SharePoint and OneDrive; ensure backups are performed on SharePoint and OneDrive; user support: provide rapid Level 1 support in accordance with the organization's service desk procedures; conduct Level 1 inductions for new staff in Kasai to ensure their integration and assist them in using IT equipment; configure desktop computers.Laptops and other peripherals to enable users to access information on the organization's operational systems. Program Support: In collaboration with their supervisor, they partner with program staff to integrate ICT solutions into program implementation; deploy and provide ongoing technical support for ICT solutions integrated into program interventions. Compliance: Ensure consistency in service delivery with established policies, procedures, and service standards; support the procurement of equipment and ICT in accordance with MCN standards and donor requirements; implement and conduct ICT assessments of Kasai offices to ensure they meet user requirements. Base Asset Management: Responsible for registering and releasing Mercy Corps-owned equipment to authorized personnel using standard Mercy Corps procedures and forms outlined in the Asset Management Manual; responsible for the timely preparation of documentation for all asset movements in Mercy Corps formats. Responsible for planning and executing physical asset counts in Goma and surrounding areas. Responsible for providing a monthly physical count/verification of all assets and their confirmed status; responsible for updating the electronic database monthly and providing an electronic copy to the supervisor and operations manager; a hard copy is printed, signed, and filed in the asset record. Responsible for advising and guiding colleagues on Mercy Corps asset and equipment usage guidelines; he or she will ensure that all lost, damaged, sold, stolen (or other) items are properly recorded with an approved asset disposal form. Ensure that all necessary additional documentation is completed. He or she must inform their supervisor of any broken, damaged, or destroyed equipment. Secondary tasks: Perform other tasks as needed and requested by management.
