Our client is a global leader in drilling services and the manufacture of high-performance drilling equipment. They develop geological data technologies that are transforming the future of mineral exploration and development.

As part of their operations in the DRC, they are seeking an experienced and independent HSE Manager capable of ensuring international health, safety, and environmental standards in a demanding underground mining environment.

Key Deliverables

  • Define, implement and monitor the company's HSE policy on site.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate HSE activities on underground mining operations.
  • Identify, assess and prevent occupational risks (audits, inspections, reporting).
  • Train and raise awareness among staff regarding good HSE practices.
  • Monitor workplace incidents and accidents and implement corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and update HSE procedures, safety manuals and emergency plans.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an HSE professional, ideally in a mining or industrial environment.
  • You speak fluent English (spoken and written).
  • You are of Congolese nationality.
  • You have solid experience in safety management in an underground mining environment (highly valued).
  • You are proficient in international HSE regulations.
  • You are capable of working independently in an isolated location.
