Key Deliverables

 Review report on the state of primary healthcare infrastructure.
- Field assessment report on infrastructure gaps
- Develop a standard infrastructure model adapted to the Burundian context, from initial contact to district hospital, to ensure the availability and operational capacity of quality, person-centered healthcare services
- Contribute to the infrastructure costing in the roadmap for the health sector investment plan, with a view to universal health coverage
- Propose a standard infrastructure plan adapted to the environment, taking into account the different levels of the healthcare pyramid (health post, community health center, and district hospital)
- Propose a standard infrastructure pricing framework (health post, community health center, and district hospital)
- Participate in validation workshops to finalize infrastructure priorities
- Prioritize infrastructure investments, considering effectiveness, efficiency, economy, ethics, and equity
- Conduct a cost estimate for infrastructure essential for equitable and sustainable UHC in Burundi
- Validation workshop reports.

Professional Qualifications

Industry Qualification
Health And Personal Care Retail Educational Qualifications Essential: Hold a Master's degree in civil engineering. Desirable: Hold at least two certificates of successful completion in the management of healthcare infrastructure construction projects. Experience Essential: - Demonstrate at least 10 years of relevant work experience in architectural studies and construction of health structures ; - Demonstrate excellent knowledge in infrastructure planning by level of the health pyramid; - Demonstrate excellent knowledge and relevant experience in preparing tender documents for the construction of health infrastructure; - Demonstrate excellent knowledge and relevant experience in defining the size of health infrastructure by level of the health pyramid.

6. Travel

The consultant may be required to travel within the country during the term of the contract.

7. Remuneration and budget

• Remuneration: The contract agent will be recruited at Band level B (High) P4 of the International Consultants Circular; i.e., a daily rate of USD 499 (working days) 
. • Travel and subsistence expenses in Burundi will be covered by the organization
. • Duration of the assignment: This assignment will last thirty (30) days.
