Credit Analyst at DCB Bank

Diamond Trust Bank is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Credit Analyst position at its Head Office in Dar es Salaam. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the bank’s credit management processes under the supervision of the Head of Corporate Banking.

The Credit Analyst is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of credit applications and related transactions. This includes:

• Conducting credit assessments
• Defending credit proposals at various review levels
• Handling documentation, disbursement, and administrative account-related matters
• Overseeing all credit administrative tasks

• Ensure turnaround time for credit applications meets agreed timeframes
• Contribute to managing, monitoring, and controlling the lending portfolio
• Perform credit appraisals and recommend proposals to credit committees
• Process other credit-related applications
• Liaise with professionals such as advocates, accountants, valuers, and insurers
• Diarize issues from credit applications for future action
• Identify weaknesses in credit processing and recommend or organize suitable training
• Follow up on audit reports reviewing credit applications and loan appraisals
• Analyze financial statements
