Contributing to the safety of health products

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is implementing the 9th BURUNDI-UNFPA Cooperation Programme, covering the period 2024-2027. This programme can be accessed at https://burundi.unfpa.org. The programme aims to improve the quality of reproductive health care and services, strengthen national mechanisms and the capacities of institutions and stakeholders to combat discriminatory social and gender norms, build the skills and capacities of young people, and improve the production and use of data to support national planning. This will accelerate progress towards achieving UNFPA's three transformative results. To this end, the office needs to strengthen its team with a young Online Volunteer to assist with securing online health products. The young online volunteer will work under the direct supervision of the Country Midwife Advisor and under the coordination of the UNFPA Burundi Resident Representative for setting priorities in agreement with the supervisor.

- Analyze and format logistics data, - Write technical notes and reports, - Document supply chains, - Ensure compliance with good product security practices, - Participate in the quantification of reproductive health products; - Participate in the procurement of reproductive health products; - Participate in the receipt and monitoring of the distribution of reproductive health products; - Ensure compliance with the cold chain for products that require it; - Participate in physical inventory at the central and peripheral levels; - Document activities related to reproductive health programs and share best practices; - Propose innovations in the implementation of activities related to reproductive health; - Participate in program implementation activities, including supporting the organization of workshops/seminars/conferences/meetings; - Assist in the development of working documents related to the management of the reproductive health program (terms of reference, technical notes, meeting minutes); - Provide support in other areas of intervention as needed.
