Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Clearance Agent Assistant to assist with managing all import/export documentation and clearing procedures for our raw materials, equipment, and finished goods.
- The ideal candidate will ensure smooth, timely, and cost-effective clearance of shipments in compliance with Nigerian customs regulations and other relevant statutory bodies.

- Handle and process all documentation related to the clearing of imported raw materials, machinery, and finished products.
- Liaise with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), NAFDAC, SON, NESREA, and other regulatory agencies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Ensure timely clearance of goods from the ports and efficient delivery to the factory or designated warehouses.
- Track and monitor cargo movements to prevent delays or demurrage charges.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping documents, customs entries, and receipts.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, and third-party logistics providers.
- Negotiate the best possible rates with clearing agents and logistics partners.
- Advise the procurement and logistics team on clearance timelines, port procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with all import/export laws and company policies.
- Prepare clearance status reports and update relevant departments regularly.
- Stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariffs, and duties applicable to the FMCG sector.
