  • The Caregiver (Live-In / Day Support) will provide compassionate home support to elderly clients, ensuring comfort, safety, companionship, and assistance with daily routines. The role requires reliability, empathy, and the ability to follow structured care plans and reporting procedures.

Key Deliverables

  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Support mobility, safe movement, and fall prevention.
  • Prepare meals and ensure clean, organised living spaces.
  • Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
  • Follow daily routines set by the family or care supervisor.
  • Monitor client wellbeing and report changes promptly.
  • Submit daily reports through WhatsApp or the company’s reporting system.
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold Brilliance Homecare’s UK-standard care values.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and structured routines.
  • Good communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Basic home management skills (cleaning, meal prep, organisation).
  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in sensitive situations.
  • Reliability, honesty, and strong work ethic.

Education:

  • Minimum SSCE.
  • Additional caregiving training or certificates are an advantage.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years experience in caregiving, home support, nannying, elderly care, or similar roles.
  • Experience supporting elderly clients or bed-bound individuals is an added advantage.
  • Live-in caregiving experience is highly desirable.

Other  Requirements:

  • Must reside in Lagos or be willing to relocate for live-in roles.
  • Must undergo a background check before employment.
  • Must provide 2 guarantors who reside in the  job location (Lagos).
  • Must complete a basic health screening to confirm fitness for caregiving duties.
  • Must complete Brilliance Homecare’s UK-standard 16 Core Care Standards Course before deployment.
  • Must be honest, respectful, and able to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Must have an active smartphone for communication and daily reporting. Must be available for immediate employment
