· BA services required to perform the as-is, to-be and gap analysis for one or more regulatory projects. Priority focus will be on the FATCA regulatory analysis, enabling the business to put in place and execute on the remediation plans.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

· Facilitate workshops in order to obtain business requirements in terms of the current and proposed end state of the project.

· Gathering of information and follow up of outstanding issues to complete BRD, User Stories or Processes Updates.

· Working with key role players to define/re-design business processes and identify corresponding solution requirements whilst establishing appropriate expectations and controlling scope.

· Assist in completing concepts or provide input into new concepts by defining high-level requirements and proposing possible solutions where required.

· Produce Business Requirements Documents (BRD’s or User Stories) that meets both Business and IT requirements through investigating business needs.

· Analysis and documentation of the “As-Is” and “To-Be” business architecture, existing products and services, system functionalities and analyse existing business process to identify gaps and areas of improvement.

· Facilitate work sessions/walkthrough/demo sessions, with all parties ( e.g. Business, IT, Legal, Compliance, etc.) to ensure that all Business Requirements are aligned.

· Ensure all the business requirements, business processes, evaluations and recommendations of possible business solutions, assessments and feasibility analysis are documented, circulated and signed off by the relevant stakeholders and handed over to the Scrum Master/PM for use in defining and designing the project.

· Ensure that new implementations and enhancements are comprehensively reflected in the BRD or User Story.

· Review and provide Input to User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases, including monitoring and supporting of testing executions.

· Support business, legal and technology teams during development, testing and deployment stages of the project.

· Actively participate in issue resolution and escalation timeously.

· Take ownership of all work and tasks assigned and ensure quality delivery.

· Make sure that the following artefacts’ are completed per project, signed off and are saved in a shared drive or repository: BRDs and/or User Stories, revised processes, UAT use or test cases.

· Adhere to Absa frameworks, policies and procedures applicable to this role, demonstrating sound judgement and responsible risk management, and where required, highlight breaches and request dispensations & waivers on a timely basis

· Build and maintain strong relationships with main role players by communicating regularly and working closely with them

· Financial service industry experience

· Previous regulatory project experience advantageous

· Ability to self-organise and meet tight deadlines

· Solid stakeholder management skills

Beneficial Skills (Desired Skills):

· Exposure to financial service regulatory projects

· Previous FATCA analysis would be added advantage

Mandatory Skills•3-5 years banking experience (non-negotiable) •Experience in Regulatory or Compliance Programs (non-negotiable) •National Diploma in IT, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or Equivalent NQF 6 qualification •5 – 8 years Business or Systems Analysis experience
