Job Description
The Government of the Republic of Burundi has received financing of 15.4 million UA from the African Development Bank Group to contribute to the Agro-Pastoral Entrepreneurship and Vocational Training Project for Youth and Women (PEAPPJF), P-BI-IE0-006. It is anticipated that part of the resources of this grant will be used to finance the services of a firm responsible for providing technical support to the Burundi Bureau of Standards (BBN) on: (1) knowledge of and compliance with the standards of different export markets, packaging standards, including the training of certified personnel; (2) a study on the creation of a support structure for Cooperatives/SMEs on international standards and training of certified trainers for this structure; (3) training of cooperatives and SMEs on standards by the BBN/this structure created with the support of Technical Assistance; (4) Support to SMEs/cooperatives in selected value chains for access of Burundian products to various European, Middle Eastern and North American markets.
