The successful candidate will work closely with procurement, stores, production and logistics teams to ensure financial discipline, accurate reporting and full compliance with Kenyan tax and import regulations.

Procurement & Supplier Accounting
• Manage the accounting aspects of the procure-to-pay cycle.
• Verify purchase orders, supplier invoices, delivery notes and goods received notes.
• Maintain supplier statements and resolve reconciliation differences.
• Ensure supplier compliance with KRA PIN and VAT requirements.
Imports & Customs Documentation
• Manage financial records related to imports including IDF, RDL, customs entries, freight and clearing charges.
• Maintain shipment and import cost tracking schedules.
• Prepare accurate landed cost calculations for imported materials.
Raw Material Inbound Controls
• Reconcile daily inbound raw material deliveries including weighbridge tickets, GRNs and supplier documentation.
• Investigate discrepancies in deliveries or pricing.
• Maintain accurate records for inventory in transit and received stock.
Tax Compliance & Daily Reconciliations
• Perform daily tax reconciliations between accounting records and transaction documentation.
• Manage tax compliance through KRA iTax.
• Ensure compliance with electronic tax invoicing (ETR/eTIMS).
• Prepare schedules supporting VAT, Withholding Tax and corporate tax.
• Maintain audit-ready tax documentation.
Digital Finance & Data Reporting
• Support development of financial dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI or advanced Excel.
• Assist in implementing automated accounting processes and AI-driven invoice matching.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and internal controls.
Professional Qualifications

Experience • Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience in accounting, procurement finance, or imports accounting. • Proven experience handling supplier accounting, imports documentation, tax compliance and inventory-related accounting. Technical Skills • Strong working knowledge of KRA iTax. • VAT and withholding tax compliance. • ETR/eTIMS electronic invoicing. • ERP or accounting systems. • Advanced Excel. • Experience with Power BI, data analytics or finance automation tools will be an advantage. |
